WHY TREAT SEWER MANHOLES

Sewers contain fecal matter, which carries disease, and are a haven for cockroaches providing an endless supply of food and water.

Per doctors in China, COVID 19 can be spread through fecal matter

Cockroaches are known to spread six kinds of parasitic worms, seven kinds of human pathogens, and 33 kinds of bacteria, including but not limited to:

  • Diarrhea
  • Dysentery
  • Cholera
  • Leprosy
  • Plague
  • Poliomylitis
  • Typhoid Fever
  • Salmonellosis
  • Staphylococcus
  • Streptococcus
  • E. Coli
  • Listeriosis
  • Asthma
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Campylobacteriosis
  • Cockroaches exit manholes through the pick holes and cracks in the manhole cover lids and gaps where the lid seats down and traverse lateral lines between the sewers and residential and commercial structures carrying fecal bacteria and disease into homes and businesses.
  • Cockroaches are difficult to control once in your citizens’ homes or businesses. Best to control before accessing those environments.
  • Cockroaches climb sewer manhole walls, often congregating on the upper 4-5 feet of the manhole wall and around the ring just below the sewer manhole cover, allowing for easy exiting through the pick holes, cracks, and gaps.
